“Ameeeerica! Move away from Africa” is basically one
of the very repetitive lines in the song, which judging and explaining from my
knowledge explains and describes the current situation there. I will be
focusing on the reggae style music since utmost of the songs from that style
have an actual deep meaning, typically pointing towards happiness and progress
for every one of us (audience). Alborosie is one of the authors having a
revolutionary style, desiring to change what’s wrong with the world, making it
a type of reggae. Their Icon is Jah Rastafar-I, and besides being music
culture, these people have a religious culture called Rastafari in order to
create and publish songs in this style.
Judging a song like this is easygoing because errors on these songs are
rare. These people desire to have peace and finish up the war that is currently
escalating to the 3rd World War in-between Iraq and USA, because it
is damaging too much people without care for them. So what does Alborosie wants
out of this song?
“Stars and Stripes is NOT my salvation, they want to globalize the earth with the American obsession!” are some of the raw and deep lyrics this artist, Alborosie, redact throughout his song, explaining what is America is doing to the other people at the outsides of the borderline. People who are not Americans are suffering because of them and their needs, but no one is going to stand up towards a large force similar to America. Reggae artists, originated in Africa, can only transfer this desperate need for help throughout their songs, in order to be listened by people all over the world so they can understand what they are passing through. Judging this song, knowing about what’s happening around the globe, truly obligates me to contemplate how some people accomplish this to help people and others perform it just for the money and benefits of making yourself famous which certainly gives us plenty to meditate on how ambitious people are nowadays. In this blog, I will try to persuade you to understand the Rastafari movement, from various aspects in order to try and remove that stereotype Rastas have from people all around the world, without even knowing them or their beliefs.
Definitely, the artistic view of this entry is in the
taste of music you developed. Personally, I love reggae so this is one of the
masterpieces of my collection, therefore as we are going to grasp, the artistic
view of these songs are going to be everywhere. From the instruments they
utilize, the tempo, the different chords in order to create that joyful sticky
beat they build to the deep lyrics they use to communicate problems currently
happening or just to make the audience have a glad and content time listening
to it. “You need to wash you’re dirty
clothes with your own watah (water), and stop using our resources here in
Africah!” and the deep lyrics continue going on towards America, to the sadness
and despair of the subject of the song. Of course because of it’s genre and the
normal help stance the author grew towards the people helps the actual song
being available for everyone in every webpage. Imagine America taking off a
reggae song, as they didn’t liked it or defamation, which would be sincerely
stupid. So for of the general stance this genre has, they just let it pass all
the time, no matter what artist of reggae it is, unless it’s American.
Comparing this artist with other artists from the
time, like Miley Cirus would be outrageous because of the different way they
approach to the public. Miley just doesn’t care about the public or anything in
the songs she write, like Wrecking Ball, just talking about her and her
personal problems occurring at the time. Instead, these reggae artists always attempt
to ensure their songs to aid the people, who may not be plenty, however for
those who need certain motivation in order to achieve something, this would
help. To conclude, we can observe how reggae develops in different ways, which
I will be covering in my blog, going through war and destruction, to salvation
and happiness, all of them having a lovely and warm feeling when listening plus
always blessing and sending good vibes to the audience.
